Sony Online Entertainment’s Denver Studio is looking for a skilled Flash Game Developer!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Design and develop Flash games using ActionScript and Scaleform.
· Drive architecting and development of common game framework, APIs, and related modules to support future game development.
· Provide technical leadership and have the ability to anticipate and resolve project roadblocks in Flash product development.
· Develops technical designs and engineering plans that produce high quality products with efficient and reusable code.
· Design and rapid prototyping of game mechanics and balance
· Works well under pressure and can handle multiple tasks.
REQUIRED SKILL SET
· 3+ years or more professional experience.
· Proficient in Flash CS3 Professional and ActionScript 2 and 3; solid experience with Flex 2 / Flex 3 / Flex Builder including a good understanding of MXML components
· Experience using the Scaleform Flash library
· Expert familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of Flash
· Shipped at least 1 title
· Experience using Flash on an embedded system such as video game console, cell phone or equivalent
· Experience in Memory and CPU optimization, and cross-browser compatibility
· Experience in optimizing performance both on the client and server side
· Ability to work in a team using agile methodology.
· Ability to write quality modular, loosely coupled code.
· Ability to design and develop modular and efficient server-side game logic a plus.
· Ability to design and develop database schema and access mechanisms a plus.
