Join Regis University/Colorado Film School and the Screen Actors Guild Colorado Branch for: “Script to Screen Table Read”
Professional SAG and/or AFTRA actors will table read short scripts in development written by Advanced Production IV film students as part of their fourth year capstone films.
Slated thus far, we are pleased to announce Artist in Resident: Ramin Bahrani. Roger Ebert recently proclaimed Bahrani as “the director of the decade.” And Variety’s Top Ten Screenwriters to Watch and writer of Brooklyn’s Finest: Michel C Martin.
The Following Short Scripts Are Among Those That Will Be Read:
Working Title: Lions
Logline: When a young homeless boy is hit by a car, his father must do everything in his power to keep from taking him to the hospital where he faces losing him to the authorities.
Writer/Director: Lauren Enberg
Title: “Story Of My Life”
Logline: A born rock and roller is stuck as a meat manager. Now he needs to decide between his own sense of morals or the corporate code.
Writer/Director: G. Chris Wiegand
Title: Broken Cycle
Logline: In an effort to find safety and acceptance in his rundown Detroit neighborhood, a teen wrestles with his own sense of morality as he attempts to assimilate into a group of local thugs.
