6:00 to 6:15 - Meeting Business
6:15 to 6:30 - 5 Minute Project Demos
6:30 to 7:00 – Cityscape Autodesk Edition: This special version of Cityscape ships with 3ds Max 2011 and it is perfect for rapidly creating city environments. This demonstration will familiarize you with how Cityscape works, how it can be integrated in your workflow and you will learn more about the other versions of Cityscape.
7:00 to 7:30 – The Unreal Developers Kit: Epic's Unreal Developers Kit or UDK has been around for a litle while and has significantly changed how we can author and distribute realtime interactive enviroments. Used primarily as a gaming platform, you will have to chance to see how it can be applied for alternative purposes as well as get a closer look at the UDK workflow.
7:30 to 8:00 – Proxies in 3ds Max: Proxy creation in 3ds Max has been around for several versions, but in this demonstration you will see how it is leveraged to create massive scene file without killing your workstation. You will learn how to create both Mental Ray and V-Ray proxies as well as explore several tools for creating polygon intensive foliage and distributing proxies throughout your scene.
8:00 to 8:30 - Networking: We will wrap up the meeting with some time for you to "network" with your fellow AAUGA members as well as get a chance to testdrive the Intellidrive simulator created with the UDK.
