JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Idol Minds is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Interface Artist with traditional 2D illustration expertise and UI visual design experience.

Idol Minds is an independent game developer for the PS3, XBox 360 and other consoles. We are ideally located in Colorado between Denver and Boulder next to the Rocky Mountains. Responsibilities

  • Create compelling UI and Interface elements that are easy to understand and use and graphically exciting

  • Working with the design team, conceptualize and implement the interface at the highest level of quality

  • Create any additional graphics, like icons, for use throughout the game as part of scoring or inventories

  • Apply and maintain a consistent art style throughout the entire project interface.

  • Take ownership of the interface pipeline and work with interface programmer to improve

  • Look to the future of interface design and invent something new

Qualifications

  • Strong background in 2D illustration and UI design

  • Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator

  • Working knowledge of Maya

  • Solid problem solving ability

  • Strong communication skills

  • Self motivated

Requirements

  • Portfolio of 2D illustrations and graphic design

  • Portfolio of game interface examples

  • Four or more years experience with multiple products

  • BFA or equivalent experience
