JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design seeks qualified applicants for Full Time Faculty positions in the College's 3D Animation Department for the new Online BFA degree program. RMCAD is a small, premier college certified by HLC and NASAD offering degrees in fine and applied arts. The 3D Animation Department is housed within the School of Design and Applied Arts. The existing on-ground Animation program offers a BFA degree in 2D Animation, 3D Animation and Game Art, and the college will be launching the online version of the 3D Animation program in the Fall 2010 term.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must have industry experience in Animation or related field and/or a terminal degree in Animation or related field of study (MA, MS, MFA, or other related degree). Terminal degrees in progress will be considered. Candidates must have significant professional experience in the content area they will teach (ie., MAYA, Zbrush, etc.) and a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.

Areas of expertise include the following:
1. Film Production, Scriptwriting & Direction
2. 3D Character Animation, 3D Generalist
3. Technical Direction, Visual EFX, Modeling, Rigging
4. Mel/Python Scripting, Programming
5. Traditional Animation, Animation History, Animation Business Practices
