Description and Desired Qualifications

CH2M HILL Graphic Design Internships, Englewood, CO

The challenge? Be at the center of a global leader in full-service engineering, consulting, construction and operations. CH2M HILL's Corporate office located in Englewood, CO is seeking an undergraduate student for a 10-week, part-time (15 hours/week), Graphic Design internship starting in June of 2010. Our internship opportunities provide you with the chance to gain experience working with seasoned professionals in our Communications and Marketing group. You should be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program in Graphic Design and be entering your senior year during Fall 2010. You should have advanced knowledge of current graphic design principles and practices including layout and design, and preparing electronic files for reproduction. You should have knowledge of common industry computer programs for page layout, illustration and graphics and presentations. All work at CH2M HILL is performed on a PC platform. You should have advanced knowledge of vector illustration, photo manipulation and document layout using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. You should also be well experienced with Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience in Flash Animation, Dreamweaver and any other motion and 3D graphics would be a strong advantage. You should have excellent oral and written skills, problem solving capability, and a sense of initiative. You should enjoy collaboration and learning from others in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. You should also have the desire to grow personally and professionally with each opportunity.

Basic Qualifications

Full-time undergraduate student that has completed their Junior year within a Graphic Design major
Advanced knowledge of current graphic design principles and practices including layout and design, and preparing electronic files for reproduction

Knowledge of common industry computer programs for page layout, illustration and graphics, and presentations

Advanced knowledge of vector illustration, photo manipulation and document layout using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photosho

Advanced knowledge of MS PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Flash Animation, Dreamweaver or any other motion and 3D graphics

Degree Required

High School or GED
