This position is charged maintaining the build profile, tracking and automating the build / branching / versioning process, and with sending builds to our publishing partner, including all build notes.
Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for various game support technologies including building, deployment, patching, and, ideally, automated testing.
  • Extend and support our build and deployment processes for our products across multiple platforms.
  • Works well under pressure and can handle multiple tasks. Active participant in regular team meetings discussing related issues to productivity, process, work flow and quality.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Work with database, version control software, build software, and game clients and server code to ensure proper delivery of all required software.
  • Work with various tools to generate documentation and scripts for effective and reliable builds and deployment strategies.
Abilities:
  • Ideally: experience working on a videogame development team and proactively recognizing and raising quality issues and suggest appropriate resolutions.
  • Proven ability to finish projects.
  • Functional Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of C++
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Ex. Python, Lua, UnrealScript, GameMonkey Script, Perl, Rexx, Tcl, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Version Control Software (Ex. Alienbrain, Perforce, Subversion, Source Safe, etc.)
  • Familiarity with build software (ideally: CruiseControl)
  • Familiarity with multiplayer or massively multiplayer games preferred.
  • Experience with SQL databases a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent work
