ANIMATION STATION: Competition at Starz Film Center Saturday,
Using any animation technique available teams will have 6 hours to create their own film. The animation theme will be announced at the competition. Teams may bring their own materials including computers, however no images or material created prior to the competition may be used. ASIFA-Colorado will provide basic animation materials (clay, cutout material, drawing paper) as well as cameras for capturing images. ASIFA-Colorado will also do minor editing to put the animations on a timeline. The ASIFA-Colorado board will judge the competition.
Prize for best overall animation is $600, other prizes to be offered.
Each team will also receive an invitation to a private screening of the animations created during the workshops and competitions.
The workshops are in Room 444 in the Tivoli.
Registration is limited. $30 per team, discounts for DFS and ASIFA-Colorado members. (At the box office only)
Teams may be 1-3 participants.

ANIMATION STATION: Children's and Adult Workshops at Starz Film Center
Sunday, November 15 9am – 12pm: Ages 8 – 11 1pm - 4pm:
Ages 12 and greater Using traditional animation techniques participants will help create a short film. The budding animators are invited to show up with a creative mindset and a willingness to explore.
Each animator will also receive a voucher to see a film at the Starz Film Center and an invitation to a private screening of any animations created during the workshops.
The workshops are in Room 444 in the Tivoli.
