Sony Online Entertainment’s Denver Studio is looking for a Sr. Character Artist!  If you like to work hard and play harder, then Colorado is the place to live! Our studio is located in the hip "LoDo" area of Denver, one block from Coors Field and walking distance to the 16th Street Mall, the primary shopping and entertainment strip of Downtown Denver. We enjoy over 300 days of sunshine a year and hiking, biking, climbing and skiing are all right in our backyard!
Our Denver Studio is the developer of Legends of Norrath, Star Wars Galaxies™ Trading Card Game, Pirates Constructible Strategy Game™ Online, Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga, and Stargate™ Online Trading Card Game.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
·         Produce prototype models and textures for PS3 and PC game titles.
·         Generated assets set high quality bar for internal and external artist to follow.
·         Manage milestones and asset deliveries from external vendors.
·         Manage quality control and maintain technical spec on outsourced assets.
·         Touch up outsourced assets as needed.
·         Fix bugs on models to support technical spec.
·         Provide regular problem solving input on work flow, asset creation methods, and related technical issues.
·         Ensure that assets are in accordance with the approved game style, technically sound and completed within the   
          scheduled timeframe.
QUALIFICATIONS
·         Demonstrate traditional art skills and creativity.
·         Strong understanding of human anatomy, proportion, scale and perspective.
·         Comfortable modeling in hi and low resolution.
·         Must have advanced knowledge of Maya, Z-brush, and Photoshop.
·         Must possess working knowledge of game engines and artist tools.
·         Self-motivated and mature attitude on challenges of asset creation.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
·         5-8 years relevant industry experience videogames or film
·         3 or more credited game titles
·         Previous experience as senior artist or lead on a project with asset management experience.
·         BFA (or equivalent experience)
