NetDevil is a division of Gazillion Entertainment, one of the largest independent developers of MMO games in North America.
The Senior Game Programmer position is a very challenging role requiring deep knowledge in multiple disciplines. This person needs to hit the ground running to solve potentially complex problems in an interdisciplinary environment. A successful candidate will need an excellent knowledge of C++ and an understanding of databases and network programming. The position requires familiarity with video game combat systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Producer/Lead Programmer to evaluate priority and difficulty of issues
- Work as independently as possible to develop a deep, innovative Combat System
- Break down tasks and provide time estimates to Production for scheduling
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience developing in the video game space
- Shipped and operated at least one MMO
- Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience
- Passion for playing and making games
- Willing to relocate to Louisville, CO area (north of Denver) for full-time engagement
- Experience using source/version control software such as Alienbrain, Perforce, Subversion, Source Safe, etc. highly desirable
- Computer Science or related degree or equivalent work experience
- Shipped at least on major video game title
