Description: Producer

NetDevil, located in Louisville, CO, was founded in 1997 with the mission of developing massively multiplayer games in unique settings for wide audiences. The studio is currently developing Jumpgate Evolution and LEGO Universe as well as an original IP.

The Producer will be responsible to guide several feature based development teams to create game-agnostic MMO gaming technology. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in scheduling and coordinating tasks across multiple departments and disciplines. Preferred candidates will have experience in a massive-multiplayer (MMO) or social networking development environment as a producer or other managerial role. This position is for LEGO Universe.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists Lead Producer to achieve all project goals from design through implementation with focus on assigned teams
  • Mentor and guide agile feature teams to successful achievement of goals
  • Assists with game documentation
  • Communicates with all internal depts to ensure project goals are being accomplished
  • Communicates with external business partners and occasionally press
  • Assists in any other assignments as directed by manager
  • Provide motivation and direction to ensure that project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved
  • Position reports to Lead Producer

Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team leader coordinating complex tasks with multiple departments
  • Good project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Functional Knowledge:

  • Windows XP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience with bug/issue tracking applications
  • Experience with version control applications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience as a Producer or equivalent manager level in the video game or entertainment industries
  • BA/BS (or equivalent) in an applicable focus a major plus
  • Hands-on knowledge of game development and at least one shipped title in a lead role
  • In-depth knowledge of MMOGs
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (XP and Scrum) is a plus
  • Willing to relocate to Denver, CO area for full-time employment
  • Passion for games
