AeroGrow is the developer and manufacturer of the AeroGarden®, the world’s first foolproof dirt-free indoor garden. We are an entrepreneurial, yet established company looking for a Graphics / Production Designer for layout design and production work. This is a hands-on position focused on production work and creative design projects. Building upon our brand identity guidelines, you would be involved in any of the following projects: product mock-ups, catalog design, label creation, sell sheets, trade show materials, quality control spec book, packaging and web design. This position requires the ability to juggle various tasks, manage projects and work well in a team environment. Excellent project management and communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit files to print vendors and provide production oversight for the pre-press and print production process.
• Work with staff to make ongoing revisions and updates to materials and provide new files to print vendors.
• Assist in developing visual design solutions for packaging, catalog, in-store promotion, and tradeshow applications.
• Maintain adherence to the style and brand identity in the creation of all company materials.
• Prioritize multiple projects and design effective solutions in set timelines.
• Communicate with suppliers about current projects and product specifications.
• Special projects and related work as needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 2+ years in graphic design and print production
• An eye for clean design and an attention for details
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 3 (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) in Mac environment
• File preparation for print
• Knowledge of color management
• Must be able to multi-task, manage details and meet deadlines
• Ability to be flexible and learn will be important
• Ability to comp a variety of 2D and 3D designs
• Experience with packaging design a plus
