Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Idol Minds is located near Boulder, Colorado in one of the most desirable places to live in the United States. Our current hit title PAIN for the Playstation 3 is the most highly downloaded title for the PSN. We continue to develop content for this amazing title and have begun work on additional projects.
Idol Minds is looking for an experienced Technical Artist to assist us with our projects. The ideal candidate would have at least five years experience in the game industry with a broad understanding of the technical issues for both programming and art.
Responsibilities:
• Work with Art Director and other leads to help establish and manage the content creation process
• Resolve technical problems and challenges as they arise
• Create and maintain an advanced art pipeline
- Requirements:
- Skills and Qualifications:
• 5 years experience as an artist in the game industry
• Experience in writing shaders
• Experience creating complex scripts in Maya
• Experience with normal maps, ambient occlusion and lighting
• Experience with special effects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in related field, i.e. Computer Science, Art
